Krystine Therriault

I am a communications professional with 12 years of experience in a variety of roles. I enjoy working solo or as part of a team and can manage multiple priorities at once if needed. I enjoy helping businesses reach their goals, researching and writing impacting content, and making websites and blog posts look pretty.

Starting out, I was a community manager and writer for the popular crowdfunding blog, CrowdCrux, and managed day to day functions of the press release service, CrowdfundingPR. This involved using tools like WordPress, forums, Facebook groups, email, invoicing, etc. During this time I also co-wrote the ebook, Real Estate Crowdfunding Explained, with Salvador Briggman.

Later I worked with Canadian SaSS platform, SpartanSpark, as a communications specialist. In this role, I participated in SCRUM meetings, wrote and formatted blog posts and web pages, included and checked photos, links, and light coding to content. We used a ticket system and Slack to collaborate with programmers, graphic design, management, and clients.

Finally, I spent a little over a year doing writing/web work for my local weekly newspaper, Seaway News. I conducted interviews, took pictures, and covered events locally in addition to writing advertorial content. During that time, I received a Ontario Community Newspaper Association award for Best Grin and Grab photo.
