I am a Certified Engineering Technologist based in Calgary with over 18 years of IT experience. I started as a Network Analyst at IBM Canada, then spent 15 years as the sole IT resource for an energy services company with a Calgary head office and field locations across Alberta and Saskatchewan. That meant owning everything: the network, servers, Microsoft 365, security, office moves, and supporting the people using all of it.

Since 2024 I have worked as an independent IT consultant for business and residential clients.

A few projects I am proud of

• When the COVID lockdown hit in March 2020, I moved a 10-person office to cloud file storage in about two weeks, including a weekend data migration with no data loss, so everyone could work from home right away.

• I built a Power Automate vacation request system from scratch. It checks balances and stat holidays, routes requests through HR and manager approval, and replaced a paid SharePoint add-on.

• I set up video conferencing for a 35-person conference room for about $4,200 against an $8,000 budget.

• I handled three office relocations. On one, the ISP turned out to have no line to the building on install day, so I switched providers and kept the office running on a borrowed Starlink dish until the new line was in.

I hold CompTIA CySA+, Network+ and A+, and I use AI tools to learn new platforms quickly and troubleshoot more efficiently.

I enjoy working with small and medium businesses that do not have dedicated IT staff and need someone who can explain things clearly and fix them properly. I speak English and Cantonese.
